Re-read, but this time I listened to the audio. Such a sad sweet story.

Mark Lawrence I am astounded. Truly-truly. That was so strong. Only 2000 words. It felt like 200,000. It took me so little time to read yet i think it will stay with me. I think I will read this again and again-I will think of the Dancers: the rainbow and the copper, the white and black, the dressed and dressless. You are a powerful man, a man who knows what love and true loss is I think. I am astounded.

This is a tragic story about a sweet, happy, but poor little girl, who sees beautiful angels dancing in the street everywhere she looks. She is beloved by everyone, but most of all by her older brother, who tries very hard to see the innocent beauty in the world that she sees, but simply can’t.
The story itself follows the aftermath of this precious little girl’s death, and it honestly broke my heart a little bit. The writing was very beautiful and haunting.
