I absolutely loved this as a teenager obsessed with north mythology.
Reading it again as an adult, I still think it is a nice book. I still enjoy the depictions of medieval farmlife and magic very much and wished there were more of it. The characters are incredibly flat though.
And the complete 180 the author gives the main female character to make her more likeable (and kind of love-interest-ly?) in the end is sooo disappointing.
