I was really disappointed by this; it seems Walter can't put together a reasonable plot without a fairytale as base. Aurora & Alyce lose all sympathetic traits they once had, their forceful fluffy moments can only exist because of all the hurt they bring upon other people. Alyce is a horrible ruler who only cares for her own interests and it's a wonder the court survived this long with her as its mistress. Also, two 100 years time skips ?? Really?
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Death, Sexual violence, and Murder
Moderate: Racism and War
Minor: Child death, Confinement, Sexual assault, Slavery, and Death of parent

I really enjoyed this sequel! After the ending of the first book I was really curious to see where the story would go and I feel like the author really stayed true to the characters and how they would feel, especially Aurora after she woke up. I also felt the growth of both the main characters was phenomenal throughout the whole story. I was surprised to see the 100-year jump but I feel like it really worked in the context of the plot and the story itself. The writing was fantastic and I’m really happy with the experience as a whole.
Moderate: Violence
Minor: Sexual assault
