I loved this little puzzle of a book! I read it months ago and still find myself trying to write pangrams. Right now I'm trying to imagine how to write this review without using the letter O. A quick, quirky read I'd recommend to anyone who loves words. I can't think of another book like it. Delightful!

An interesting story for sure. I haven't read anything like it before. It put in perspective how important our English alphabet really is. I couldn't imagine living on this island, but the characters were amusing and funny. What a nice read for sure.

I can't believe I hadn't read this book before now! I loved it! It's an extremely simple and fast book to read, but one that I think is quite thought provoking while being fun. I highly recommend it!

It was clever. I loved the replacement days, as I read it on Toes, May 11. I fear my knowledge of english was not fully up to it, as there were many words I vaguely knew from context. It was interesting to see the police state form, in a believable way, which I didn't even think of. I liked that by the end, the previous high vernacular of the citizens of Nollop had broken down into medieval peasant speak with various spellings of thing, and everyone quite literally going insane.
