there was absolutely no plot happening here. everything feels a bit rushed and the time skip was so sudden i nearly got whiplash (kinda felt like they didn’t want to write how the characters were effected and just explain what happened in the time skip). the effort distribution was 80 for the smut scenes and 20 on everything else. (this book has the longest smut scene i’ve ever read, i was shocked when it just kept going)

The chemistry between Val and Pyro is hot and so fucking there, I loved the two and the story line between the two. Outside of that, I was so fucking lost 😂, but it was still a steamy short story.

Loved it as much as the first book. This book explains the complicated relationship between Pyro and Val. I rate it a 5 on the chili pepper scale. The only reason I did not give it a full 5 is because I'm not into how Val still feels insecure even though Pyro does so much to prove his true feelings.

This had a very slow start for me. Something about the writing made me feel like I was missing something and just felt abrupt. I did really end up liking Pyro’s character and it got better as it went on.
