Difficult not to draw comparisons with Mishima's life although this was a while before his suicide.
Among one of the darkest books I have ever read

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS. this book was so beautiful. it was mildly disturbing and i believe that just aids in it. how can you write a book with themes of masculinity and not disturb the reader to begin with? provided with the context of mishima's life and values, it is particularly interesting. i would read it again. noboru is the orginal greg heffley to me.
