I love a survival story and this one is the most survival-y. He was an amazing survivor - so smart and inventive. I just can’t imagine it - the boat, the cooler, the birds, the sharks and all of it!

The first thing that is noted is that he tells tall tales.  I think the idea was to make him heroic and wonderful but they tried too hard before he had even done anything.  Instead of seeing him as a hero, I thought of Gaston from beauty and the beast.
