I really don't have a lot to say about The Tuscan Child, other than it was a cosy read!
Rhys Bowenhas a tencency to mix up her cosy and aesthetic vibes with a little bit of murder mystery in her works, and I will say that the murder and the mystery in this book was waaaay better than in Above A Bay Of Angels, which was the first work of hers I read

I feel like the number one reason why you should try this book out is the AMAZING DESCRIPTIONS OF FOOD! This book will leave you hungry, and on the train for Italy as soon as you're finished! The characters in this book weren't always that great (Paula and Sofia tho? They have a special place in my heart, WOW)

Also a bit of a warning, it gets kinda "pro life" preachy in the middle of the book, but I will just close my eyes at that and blame it on the fact that the main character Joanna is living in the 70's, and not 2022's.
