I loved this book! I took basic college chemistry and didn't understand all of the little jokes at the top of each chapter, but I got enough to really enjoy the geeky humor. That's just a bonus, though. The actual story was a well written and intricately woven, cozy mystery without an actual murder. There was plenty of peril and red herrings, and I'm happy to say I couldn't predict the outcome.

For anyone who sees science as the antithesis of magic, like our heroine did, here's a fun read with enough skepticism to keep the logic minded happy, and the rest of us just happy to suspend disbelief and escape into a terrific place, time, and family.

Chemist Magic

Mystery

Grace is a chemist who believes in science, not magic. She helps run her aunt Lucy’s magic shop after she had an accident. Dario is a reporter trying to figure out what’s going on with all the incidents with the shops. A little mystery, magic, banter, and spice.
