Reading Kurt Vonnegut feels like a crazy drug trip and I think people either love or hate his writing style. He is an absolute genius and the one and only king of satirical commentary on the madness of humans. Cats Cradle deals with the absurdity of life in general and the harmful ways of modern science, while constantly joking about religion.

„Everything must have a purpose?“ asked God. „Certainly“,  said man. „Then I leave it to you to think of one for all this“, said God. And He went away.

This one absolutely flies by. While it doesn't have the clarity of purpose that Slaughterhouse-Five does, Vonnegut's acerbic wit and satirical mind are out in full force.

It's weirdly entertaining as well as confusing. Don't misunderstand me when I say confusing, it's not very complex. It's just like other Vonnegut novels but at the same time it isn't.
Cat's cradle is hilarious and mysterious, which is always an interesting combination. At one point, it felt like it's being dragged a lot but it soon picked up pace and then I found myself finishing the rest within hours. It's like a landslide. It starts small but when it is almost at the end, it becomes unpredictable and engulfs you in it.
