I love this woman so much! She talks about her life and the lessons she has learned with such honesty and I appreciate that greatly. I listened to this as an audiobook but I need to get the physical copy now. I think that this will be one of those books that whenever I am feeling down I will pick up this. I loved it so much and it made me realize things. Melanie is one of my role models and this book made her feel like a bit sister even more than her videos do.

This book stands apart from other "Youtuber” books. Definitely aimed at Murphy’s video demographic of teenagers/young women. Her writing style is conversational and chatty which is enjoyable to begin with but at times lacks depth. This book excels in chapters regarding mental health and food. Perhaps it could have benefited from a bibliography along with the helpful information section. Would definitely recommend as a well rounded teenage “guide to life”.

My second audio book ever.
Melanie Murphy is my favorite Youtuber. I love listening to her stories, relationship advices and makeup tips. So it's no surprise that I wanted to listen an audiobook instead of reading it. In about 8 hours Melanie talks a lot about her childhood, family, friends, crushes, sex and about all the things I love following her for. I've really enjoyed hearing her voice while I was walking or washing dishes or just lying on my bed.

This is AMAZING! Such a good book for anyone who is just totally confused in life. Melanie talks about the things she went through in her life as well as little bits of advice here and there. The book had me laughing but crying at the same time. It’s so raw and brought me so much feeling. My outlook on my life and the things around me has changed just because of this lil book. Melanie talks about social media, the internet, depression, eating disorders, her struggle with these things, love, sex, breakups, sexuality! There’s no end to how great it is! Definitely recommend to anybody.

*Listened to this on Audible*

I have a soft spot for Melanie after following her on Youtube for years now. Her narration of her own book is just wonderful. She has such a pleasant voice to listen to.

By reading this book I was hoping to learn a bit more about her, and that I definitely did. But overall I do feel this book was quite unfocused. A collection of different chapters of her life and lists. It wasn't exactly what I had expected from this book.

As a woman nearing 30 I also found that most advice and life lessons applied more to people in their late teens/early twenties. So I feel I wasn't really the target demographic for this book.

What I did enjoy was hearing more about Melanie's life and especially where she had similar life experiences to me. It is always fascinating to hear how others have dealt with similar struggles.

This was so much more than another YouTuber book of unstructured but readable advice - it was actually such a coherent and heartwarming story of a woman's experience in New Ireland, becoming a creative professional. I thoroughly enjoyed its brutal honesty.

Mel has a sincere, humorous, as well as eloquent voice. Her book is jam-packed with useful advice, information, explanations, and experiences. A+ writing, too. Probably the best book by a YouTuber I've read so far. Heck, among the best non-fiction books I've read so far. Loved. It.
