Angel goes to Room 6 at The Lonely. He calls dispatch for a heavyset escort, Shyla. He tells her these stories.

Cram(ps)- Johnny & Jenny. She gets hooked on heroin after their first time. They are forced to be drug mules to cover Jenny's debt. She dies after a bag breaks inside her.

Pro(lapse)- Johnny casts Juicy, drug dealer, in a gangbang porno. Candy's ass is filled with fake blood that she sprays all over Juicy. *Angel starts stretching out Shyla's pussy.

Woom- Mary Booker attempts a clothes hanger abortion, she slips and kills herself instead. *Angel has rhoticism 'bweak' 'woom'. Shyla has an extra deep vagina due to trauma.

(S)Mother- Shyla had a previous client that liked to be smothered. She sat on a box over is head. Angel was reborn using the Evergreen Method. He's rolled up into a rug and has to fight his way out.

Man(nequin)- Bethany Chastain lived in the basement with one of her mother's art pieces, a mannequin. She uses him as a sounding board, first kiss, and first sexual experience. She gets her first boyfriend at 17. Belt-sanded his penis off.

(Still)Born Again- Reveals that he was the man in all these stories. Offers Shyla a 'weset button'. A 'miwacle' reverse birth.

Oh, this was disgusting...

And I loved every word. Pretty sure the stories told in Woom will stick with me for the rest of my life. This is not for the faint of heart, but if you have the stomach, it is a tale of love and self discovery unlike any I've ever read.

Bless you, Shyla.

Super fast-paced book. I could see the “twist” coming a mile away, but that didn’t make it less enjoyable. Lots of reviews talk about how nauseatingly gory it is; it was certainly graphic, but
nothing worse than a Saw film.

This was pure shit. I bought this because I saw a tiktok video claiming that it was a really good horror novel, and now I’m disappointed to have wasted my money. The “Extreme Horror Novel” label on the cover really means “disgusting sexual assault” in a bunch of different ways. I’ve always hated “horror” that ends up being just a sick man’s sexual fantasies/traumas. You can write a good horror that incorporates the good and bad of sex, without having the entire book revolving around the gore and other atrocities that can happen. The title “Woom” is accurate since the thing is chock full of vagina! Each chapter has some horrible thing happening to a poor woman’s body. There’s absolutely nothing scary about this book, it’s just flat out gross. The story telling is awfully drab and boring, with vile things being described blandly in order to grab your attention. It doesn’t work. The only good thing about this book is that it is so short.

This reminds me of that episode of South Park where Butters writes The Poop that Took a Pee. There is nothing horror about this book, just gross out, tragic stories strung together with a bunch of sex. There are lines in here that I know are meant to shock, but literally had me laughing. It's trying to tell a story about trauma, but again, laughing at how ridiculous it is. Rape is a big plot point in this book, which...it's horrifying enough, it didn't need whatever treatment this was. Also, the author is white, but has a black character call another black character the N word. It's a throw away insult line that didn't have to use specifically that word, and it felt like it was an opportunity for a white person to use it on a technicality. "I'm not calling him the N word, the black character is so it's ok." This was published in 2022. Read the woom. HA! But seriously, don't bother. It's pretty terrible.

I don't think I can adequately describe how gross this book was, it's most definitely not safe for human consumption.

No amount of brain bleach will remove the horrors of this book from my mind, truly disgusting and I honestly have no idea what is wrong with Mr Ralston.

A play on room/womb womb is a single room horror story, a man brings a overweight sex worker to a pay by the hour motel room and he starts telling her more and more depraved and disgusting stories, she in turn tells him some horrible stories of her life and clients, culminating in one of the weirdest endings I have ever read.

This book made me question what the heck I just read.
