This isn't horror so much as a series of very disturbing incidents.

Oh, this was disgusting...

And I loved every word. Pretty sure the stories told in Woom will stick with me for the rest of my life. This is not for the faint of heart, but if you have the stomach, it is a tale of love and self discovery unlike any I've ever read.

Bless you, Shyla.

Within the first few pages into this book, I was 95% sure I knew what was going to happen, and for the most part I was correct. Typically, I find that predictability to be incredibly boring, but this format kept me reading, wondering just what was going on beneath the surface.

I pieced it together just moments before the book announced it and that, friends, is what amazed me. I'd had no clue that that was where it would end up, and even those closing few sentences blew my mind. Yes, I'd predicted the feature presentation (honestly you'd have to be pretty daft to miss it), but that one moment wasn't what the book was about and I loved it.

It's wonderfully written, and I really appreciated the insight at the end into how this book even came about.

why did i read this??? for once, i trusted Booktok without checking the reviews or anything because i thought the set-up was interesting but as i continued, it got more disturbing and crazy and, for me, not in a good way at all. i thought each story had its kind of interest to it, but the ending was so weird and out of place, i absolutely hated it and i felt as if it did absolutely nothing for me.
additionally, i thought that it was weird that the n-word was used i think at least twice, despite the fact that the author is a white man? i feel like there is no need to use this word in books written by white authors...

also, the description of the prostitute's body was so gross... i can't really describe it but it is quite noticeable that this book was written by a man because he objectified her so much...

This…was not good. It wasn’t even horror. It was just weird sexual violence and a guy with serious mommy issues. It didn’t succeed in horrifying or disturbing me, it just kind of made me confused as to why a human would write this.
