this was like SIGNIFICANTLY worse than the first one, it was so disjointed and had so many allusions and references it didn't follow through on and had so many subplots that barely mattered if at all (why did we get so much of josie and reggie flirting, why did we get any of those flashbacks, why why why)

It’s Riverdale, Jughead! If you’re into the show, you’ll enjoy the craziness of the novels.

i like how fast-paced it is, but some parts of the book i completely skipped over because it didn’t add to the story. the parts i skipped over were the flashbacks of why chat yers had beef with each other. i also wish there was a clear ending. besides all that, i enjoyed the book!

A horror inspired Archie YA novel that feels very true to the series.

disclaimer: I am not a fan of Riverdale, my opinions on that show are not really positive and I do not think it is good, but I do watch it for the purpose of making fun of it. So keep in mind, this review is not coming from a fan of the tv-show.

This was quite good. I mean this book was more suspenseful than all the four seasons of Riverdale together. I do think that the first half kind of dragged. The last end was really gripping though and I found myself doing random stuff so I could listen more to the audiobook. Unfortunately I did not like how the ending wrapped up.

The epilogue introduced a storyline that I do not quite get or care for. I think this was a set up for the next book though, but I'm not sure.

I also want to give a honorable mention to the potration of the characters, I think that was done fantastically! This author is really talented and I will definitely pick up more of her books!!

Because of all these little points I do prefer the first book way more, but of course I will still continue this serie and overall I did also enjoy this book and found myself invested in the story and being totally trapped in it.

I hate how much I’m enjoying these books, the author is so accurately portraying the characters traits, like Veronica’s rich attitude, Archie’s cluelessness, Betty’s sleuthyness and Jughead’s emo writer teen angst. I find myself living for these moments when it sounds like these moments could actually be in the show because of how well the author is writing them

Anyway on to read the third book because I can’t stop myself reading this series
