This was okay, but that's it. A simple fairytale told with pretty and fluffy writing, but nothing life changing. The characters were my favorite part; I love the found family aspect and how everyone looked out for one another. I love the red string of fate concept and how it was portrayed in this book. The plot twist made the entire book more interesting once I got there.

I liked this book. It’s an easy, enjoyable read—nothing too special, but still satisfying. The found-family trope was done well, and the plot twist was a nice surprise.

I do wish the romance between the main characters was shown more than told. But maybe that was intentional, as the story feels like a fairy tale or a Studio Ghibli movie.
