Meg Cabot never disappoints. It is refreshing to read this form of epistolary novel, and it is full of Cabot's wit and humour that makes it an engaging read. Another pleasant surprise is the book's allusions and refereces to Jane Austen's Persuasion, which is truly one of my favourite books. And Cabot never disappoints with the constant stream of characters brimming with sarcasm, heart and humour. I adore Becky Flowers and her unwavering dedication to her work, and how she constantly thinks well of others, a contrast to Carly's bitter and snarky attitude. I wished for a little more romance, but having Reed Stewart try his best to win Becky's affections again is truly a delight to read, especially in the form of emails and chats. It is subtle yet revealing, a refreshing take on modern romance.

The whole books is written through text messages, emails, and newspaper articles. I don’t mind having some but 95% of this books is that material. Just can’t read that style for a whole book.

I’m a sucker for these cute one-sitting reads from my chick lit queen, Meg Cabot.

Not only was this one incredible, it had cute, rounded characters and an inevitable romance. LOVED IT.

Also had some cute bookish references. Who could hate this?

(It’s also a MUSTARD YELLOW hardcover, how could I resist?)

Super fasts and easy read. Not only is it chick-lit but it’s told entirely in emails, texts, journal entries, etc. so it flies by. Funny and entertaining but nothing too deep. A good pallet cleanser

Not one of my favorite Cabot books... the small-town, hometown element combined with the yearning after a high-school romance were not appealing to me. I mean, move on, already. I enjoyed the characters' dialogue as much as I ever do with Cabot's writing, and there were elements of the plot I enjoyed. And the characters did quote Jane Austen, so. I liked it, but not as much as her others.

This was cute and had a silly sense of humor to it. The epistolary style (texts count as epistolary, I hope) made this breezy to read, but also kind of stretched believability at points (like the life stories in online product reviews).
