Parts of this book are nice, introspective all that jazz but on the whole it was super repetitive.

And the meditations didn’t spur me on to write anything, nor were they thought provoking. I didn’t finish the last chapter got boring.

More like a memoir than a personal development book

Book Summary
A book about lessons Alex has learned through her life experience.

Book Review
I loved it. Everything felt true and hit deep.

How I Discovered It
Did I discover Alex Elle via Glennon Doyle? Or maybe Berne Brown? She finally became available on Libby.

Who Should Read It
Everyone

Thoughts & Impressions
I love how gentle it was. I love how true it was. It felt like I was talking to a friend. It soothed me. It comforted me. It hurt, but in a way that made me feel ok because someone understood the depth of the hurt I’ve also experienced. I loved the hope it filled me with.

What I Liked About It
My fave was the writing style.

What I Didn’t Like About It
I’d love more interactive ebooks or maybe downloads with access to recorded meditations

How the Book Changed Me
I feel more at peace with life and the imperfectness of it.

I have been following Alex Elle on Instagram for a while, so I had high expectations for this book. They were exceeded. A combination of memoir, wellness lessons, and gentle reminders/meditations to support the ideas discussed, this little book is powerful and loving, honest and encouraging. I really needed it.
