Writing was a little clunky in places but overall really enjoyed it. Fascinating history and such interesting perspectives about an issue I know very little about. Particularly enjoyed the chapters on thatcher and those sections which highlighted real working class stories.

A superb 21st Century take on class in politics today. Lots of hard examples and even wide ranging suggestions in the conclusion to help fight right-wing narratives and build a better society.

I think this is one of the best books I've ever read. Owen Jones describes perfectly the political and social reality in the UK and also this book can be applied to other countries like Spain, where I'm from and live. The only thing I didn't like is the amount of names that he gives and people whom he refers to, because sometimes they're too many. But removing that little detail, this is a very interesting and indispensable book.
