Best comics being made right now, hands down.
Every page is complete.
I'm going through this slowly a second time, making sure not to miss anything.
And will go through it again, reading the commentary provided by Yokoyama, which completely transforms the book into another event.
Total defeat.

This book is like modern art - you just have to appreciate it as it is. It may not make sense at times, but that's all part of the charm. But, it isn't everyone's cup of tea, and I wouldn't recommend it to someone who cannot look past its nature as an artistic journey. I may revisit it in the future, but not for now.

Like Paul Karasik says in the introduction to Travel, "Yokoyama is an artist who has a great deal of respect for his reader. He allows the reader to do a lot of the work... He doesn't care to spoon-feed."
Travel is more like a piece of art you'd find in a museum than your traditional comic book. It's the "story" of 3 guys taking a futuristic(?) train somewhere. I really liked the funky art, the lack of any text, and the excessive comments section at the end of the book.
