Why?
- a lot of religious rambling
- sexist, very sexist
- right leaning views
- interesting dissection of philosophy, but the author is swimming in the deep end in terms of his subject matter knowledge and profession.
- despite the title the author holds (psychologist) he writes to opinions and qualifies them heavily with the bible and screwed interpretations of philosophy, rather than science. — Large portions of the advice is based on his experience and observations and at times misleads this as fact.
- in terms of self help you can search for sound advice other places without being subjected to the authors very controversial and at times very toxic views tendered under the guise of wisdom.
- some very concerning and regressive views on the topics of consent, sexual assault, using force to discipline children etc etc.
