Somehow I forgot how absolutely gone on Annabeth Percy really is, this was the perfect reminder lol this boy is OBSESSED and I loved every single second of it.

Another absolutely hilarious and nostalgic adventure, I was crying from laughter and made soso many notes while reading.

The PJO universe really feels like home and I hope no matter how old I get I never grow out of loving these books.

This was a really fun return to the Percy Jackson universe. I legitimately sat down to read it and was done 3 hrs later, so it was the definition of couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed the lower stakes aspect of these quests, but I did feel like Percy had lost some of the maturity he had developed in earlier books. I could also be misremembering since it has been a while since I reread the original series.

I don't know what I was expecting (besides more Percy), but I really liked the reflecting and growing vibe. It makes sense, after all of Percy has lived, and in the stage he is (preparing to go to college), to look back and reflect about all the growth that has happened, to treasure the simple pleasures of life, and to feel a bit insecure about if the world can really be this good, if is real that this is happening.

It's a recap, for Percy and for the reader, where you reflect on all the progress, but also, where you can see the opportunities that are still to come, that the world did not end and there is a lot in it.

It's interesting to see how afraid were all the gods of "old age", and I really liked how the answer was "don't fight it, embrace it", because is actually an accomplish to get to grow old, and we should aspire to have a long happy life with those who we love (obviously, you need to take care of your health, since you need quality of life).

I also liked the detail of Poseidon taking care of the school part, but particularly, the message that is the small everyday decisions what really shows who we are.

I'm definitively in for more Percy (tho I also thing that he should be left alone and has earned a nice, quiet life).

i really enjoyed it. it didn't feel high stakes, but i actually enjoyed that part - it felt like the beloved characters finally getting a break and having a comparatively domestic problem to solve.

I wanted to read this book as I loved the series and was still disappointed that I only read this book during the last year, however with the new fans and the series being out, I am glad that Percy Jackson is back for old fans and new fans, and it was a really good read.

This book is about Percy Jackson, and he has saved the world multiple times – battling monsters, Titans, even giants – but these days the modern-day son of Poseidon is hoping for a regular final year at school. Too bad the Greek gods have other plans, and three new quests for Percy to complete. First up: the cupbearer of the gods, Ganymede. Is missing his golden chalice. Not only is this embarrassing, like who do the gods keep losing their magical items? It’s also potentially disastrous. One sip from the cup will turn any mortal into a powerful god. And the old gods do not take kindly to newbies. Can Percy, Annabeth and Grover find the chalice before it falls into the wrong hand? And even if they do, will they be able to resist its awesome power?

I loved being back in this world and all the trouble that Percy gets himself into, but this time it was because he wanted to go to college. This book had a whole range of things going on that we love from Rick Riordan. From the banter and the gods being stupid and lazy to major conflicts and real feeling with Percy just wanted to finish high school and go to college with Annabeth and then Sally announcing she was pregnant and for Percy not to worry or change his plans of not going to California because she is pregnant. I love how the world is getting built with the action like you don’t feel behind and you know what’s going on with how Rick Riordan has a way of describing things in such a youthful way. I enjoyed this storyline and how Percy is growing up and you can feel the pressure of him and the nerves of future.

I love the fact that Rick is wanting to continue this series with Percy having to get two more recommendations and hopefully the series will end with Percy and Annabeth in the sunset and going to college.

📖
I had a wonderful time reading this. It was nice to return to a book from Percy's first person perspective. Percy and Annabeth were cute. Grover was awesome. The three of them were fun and engaging to read about. I adored the characters and their relationships.

The nostalgia hits so hard, especially the humor and chaos I've always cherished since middle school.
The Chalice of the Gods left me yearning for more thrilling adventures that lie ahead. I can't wait to see where Percy's gonna look for his next college acceptance letter!

The Chalice of the Gods was a really promising start to what feels to me like the Percy Jackson Farewell Tour. It kept the fun and adventure of the original books and I really enjoyed how it focused on the original trio. As an older reader who grew up with Percy Jackson, I especially loved how the book was themed around growing up, touching on ideas like trauma and healing and the mentality of expecting that you'll die young.
