“The fact that he invited me today, is because he wanted to cheer me up a little, right? Come to think of it, Mamura... has always been there... when I needed him the most.”

Even though my heart still hurts from the previous volume, everything in this one was so damn cute, that I couldn't help but have a stupid smile plastered on my face the entire time. Mamura is such a sweetheart, and I love him to pieces (even if he is a huge tsundere at times lol). He's done, and still does so much for Suzume, so I completely understand why he's some people's favorite. I still happen to be on the fence though. Can't wait to read volume 9!

2022 review
I do enjoy the side arc of Yuyuka and Togyuu and I still stand by her character having a lot of room for good development and stories. I still don't like Mamura all that much, but I do like him for Yosano. The series is starting to slow, but in a way that's better for Yosano rather than how it was so tumultuous and second-guessing with Satsuki.

2018 review
I love that Yuyuka is finally over her adoration with Mamura because there's so much development for her character that can be found if she opens herself up to someone else who actually accepts her. With Mamura, he's really just meant to be with Yosano, so it's good that Yuyuka acknowledges that and moves forward. With Yosano, I love the girl, but I really need her to stop being heartbroken over someone who is ultimately not worth it. Satsuki is my type of guy 90% of the time, but the other fraction, his dishonesty to Suzume and himself is really annoying and degrades his overall character quality.

Me chanting slowly "Please don't make this a rebound arc. Please don't make this a rebound arc." I loved the approach this volume took towards friendship and realization. As the reader, we've recognized Mamura's constant presence and kindness. To be honest, I was about to be heartbroken at the thought he would end up the only one NOT in a relationship by the end of it all.
