A pretty quick read - relative to its length - if you're like me and have seen the show multiple times. I don't usually read a lot of fantasy, and I think it's partially because I'm not very good at visualizing descriptions of literally fantastical people/places. So for me, having seen the show helped a lot (and yes I know it's not exactly the same, especially character ages!). I really enjoyed reading it.

  • this world is a masterpiece and the characters are so in depth I truly get lost in it. It’s only downfall is that George R R Martin is a fucking creep when it comes to writing young girls…

i don't even know where to start. this book has gotten me hooked up the whole time, my eyes were glued to the pages until the very moment I finished it. this is just great, and it has just begun. all the stories, intertwining with each other, new journeys starting, and way better than the show. all the characters are just so complex, i love reading their different thoughts, feelings, everything... this is perfect, fantasy at its peak. i will start the second book tomorrow, probably :)
