This book was fascinating! I had heard about the case of Vacher but only knew scant details. So reading this was really interesting. Not only was the case interesting but also the interwoven history of science and the growth of it during the last part of the 1800s. Starr writes in such a way that it reads really well and not dry like some non-fiction science books can be. This book is also very very well researched.
