Apart from its excellent cover and interior design, these stories are mostly fun to read, and an insight into the history of a culture I knew only sparingly. While several of the longer stories seemed to drag, the shorter pieces and the two poems offered more of a takeaway, and the list of sources at the end was a nice touch as well. Worth picking up if you're interested in the culture and folklore

3.5/5 - This was a pretty enjoyable read. Some stories felt like you were listening to a drunk rambling or telling stories which I found funny.

A cute collection of folk tales. Great to read a few this week as a family before St. Patrick's day.

Ottima raccolta di racconti popolari, divisa per sezioni dedicate ai protagonisti (dal piccolo popolo ai giganti) e con grande varietà

A great collection of stories and poems by one of my favorite poets. Read as research for a project of mine, and I’m just fascinated by the layering of Irish mythology and lore with Christianity. Obviously some weird and gruesome takes included.
