This is about Julianne Morgan who was hired as an event planner in a country house in Cornwall. She meets the charming Matthew Rose and they develop a relationship that isn't simple as friendship. I enjoyed reading this book!

It was many books in one. I thought it would be a fast read. It wasn't. The writing seemed kind of immature. It finally got interesting in the last 50 pages. Did not really care for it.

A Wedding in Cornwall was just a lovely, sweet read! I really enjoyed it, and it was a great start to what seems to be a popular series (I haven't read any others yet).

I really enjoyed reading this, it was lighthearted and cheerful - the perfect summer read.

A dream career opportunity and the chance of love in a gorgeous country house? Event planner Julianne is about to get more than she expected from her trip to the UK in A Wedding in Cornwall - a new novella from Laura Briggs (author of Picture Mr Perfect, Boyfriend By the Book and The Wedding Caper).

When Julianne's colleague falls ill, the chance to fly out to the UK to plan the wedding of a celebrity drops in her lap. Of course, it'd be silly not to snap it up - so Julianne temporarily leaves her life in the States behind to take up residence in the stunning, historical Cliffs House.

However, her job soon becomes more difficult than she envisioned, with the famous couple not seeing eye to eye on a lot of the wedding details. With the beautiful bride-to-be proving to be hard to please, Julianne knows that she's in for a challenge - even more so when she meets Matthew, the handsome gardener, and other obstacles begin to arise...

I read this novella on a relaxing weekend away, and absolutely loved it. This is the first of Laura's books that I've read, and I'll certainly be reading more. At the beginning of the book, Laura states in a letter to her readers that she has, in fact, never visited Cornwall, which is quite a surprise as she has described it wonderfully. Her writing places you right there on the gorgeous coast, and within the stately walls of Cliffs House.

A Wedding in Cornwall is a sweet, uplifting and romantic tale which I fully enjoyed. It certainly brightened my day, and better still, heroine Julianne returns in Laura's next novella, A Christmas in Cornwall.

It’s always great to have a wonderful setting behind a story and the author really sells Cornwall to the reader. I think due to the work that Matthew does, it makes it more colourful and vibrant and really made it stand out in my mind.

This is the first novella in a series of books set I’m assuming all in Cornwall. Not sure if it will concentrate on the main characters in this one or whether it will feature new ones but I have to say it would be nice to catch back up again with Matthew and Julianne.

I enjoyed Julianne’s character of an American coming over to England and getting used to the locals ways and sayings. I also like Matthew and thought he was a good love interest. It was easy to get swept up in how he shows Julianne the sights and introduces her to local delicacies, especially the Cornish Pasties that got my mouth watering.

The author includes in the back of the book some deleted chapters of which I did find slightly confusing. I didn’t understand if taking them out, why still keep them in the book? To be fair I enjoyed the further chapters and think they should have been left within the main story.

A Wedding In Cornwall is a cosy, relatively shortish, book that makes for a lovely summer time read. Of course you could read it at any time of year. Romance is definitely the main theme in the book but the wonderful setting does threaten to steal the limelight. A good and solid start and look forward to reading more in the series.

My thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for inviting me to be part of the blog tour. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
