3+? 4-, even?
It's good, but I'm on the fence about reading the rest of them. However, I'm not sure how much of that hesitation comes from the giant complicating factor of closed libraries plus the in-network ones not having ebooks of the first however many books in the series (and/or the related issue of having started with book #3...).
That said, though, I'm pretty sure none of that would've stopped me from diving in further after, say, my first Louise Penny or Tana French book, to name a couple of fantastic series I came to fairly late. So it's not *just* me/coronavirus issues in any "It's not you, it's me" calculation.

I'm a fan of this series having read 5 books but I just didn't like this one. This is the 3rd in the series and I highly recommend the new reader read the series in order. For some reason, the characters and the pace of the book just didn't agree with me. I started and stopped and just lost interest. I dnf'ed at 15%. This is a character driven series and for some reason I just didn't connect or liked the characters. I didn't care if they lived or died so I just decided to quit the book and read something else.

The third book in this series deviated a bit from the previous two - the main character is searching for her long-lost mother amongst the survivors of a radical political group of the 1970s. I'm not yet invested enough in this character for the whole plot to revolve around her personal story, but it was still good enough to want to keep reading.

It took me far too long to warm up to both the main character and the storyline. It wasn't until about 1/2-3/4 of the way through that I really cared what happened next. In the end, I enjoyed it, which I guess is better than a book that starts out strong and peters off. I think it also helped that I have a decent understanding of Paris and the French language. Just curious enough that I may end up reading some of the other books in the series.

This is the third in the series and shows some promise of being worth continuing. The mystery is intricate and cerebral - you'll spend the novel following Aimee around Paris. Enjoyable standard faire.

Quite the intricate story. Aimee is looking for her mother and has lots of clues from her mother's past. She doesn't know much about her mother and a woman who had been a cell mate of hers shows up on the day she is released from prison and then is murdered before Aimee finds out anything. She starts tracking down leads from the little the woman had told her and others end up dead and she is shot at and attacked. Her mother had been part of a radical group and some members are still alive. She had taken part in a robbery and the old gang is looking for the loot.
There are accusations that her dad was a dirty cop and she is trying to clear his name and do work with her partner to help pay the bills. Most of the story is situated in the Sentier, a section of Paris that is run down and populated by a lot of immigrants. There are a lot of other connections that she has to deal with.
