This was a fun story with many twists and turns. Most of them I guessed which is to be expected when you have read a lot of thrillers. This read as a bit juvenile to me but with that being said, I did place the second book on hold from Libbyโ€ฆ.

I enjoyed the characters and without spoilers I am VERY intrigued to see what happens next in the story!

This was a quick read and could be read in one sitting. I have read so many books about kidnappings, but this one is based on a very different perspective. The ending leaves you wanting to jump into the next book right away.

I have been thinking about this book since I first read it in fourth grade. I was so captivated by it and so angry when I realized that the classroom library didn't have the sequels. I'm low key super excited to finally find out whatever happened to Janie. Though reading this as an adult, I'm realizing how completely inappropriate it was for this book to be in the library of a fourth grade classroom...

I originally read this book in third grade and it was one that I would still think about randomly to this day. I donโ€™t think I knew this was a series, so when I saw they were all free for Audible subscribers I decided to give them a listen. Still a very entertaining story, first one is definitely the best. 4 star rating is more for nostalgia, definitely for a younger audience.
