Nett. Liest sich schnell und unterhaltsam. Mehr aber auch nicht, weder Plot noch Figuren sind was besonderes.

I loved the O'Malley series. I'm excited for the second generation series.

She did it again with this one.

Thank you to Katee Robert for the advance reader copy of The Bastard’s Betrayal, the first book in the Scandalous Scions series. This book releases on August 25th!

I have adored every single Katee Robert book I have read and so despite never having read The O’Malleys, I decided to pick up this spinoff series. I am ready for this mafia romance to rock my world.

Started out slow but about 50% my interest picked up and then I couldn't put it down.

A cute mafia romance that pissed me off at times; if anyone else tried to get away with the shit the hero pulled by
Spoilerkidnapping the heroine
, they'd be considered a creep à la Crazy For You by Jennifer Crusie. But on a more positive note, the heroine
Spoilershooting the hero
was such a badass move - though, in retrospect, it's probably not healthy for me to think it's "badass" to go around
Spoilershooting men who break your heart, we'll ignore that issue for now or blame Loretta Chase for making that a feminist power move (Lord of Scoundrels)
.

This series makes me so happy. My introduction and the reason I’m half in love with Katee Robert is her O’Malley series. So when she announced the second generation starting with Kiera and Dmitris eldest daughter I was first in line, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Katee Robert is a master at her craft, she is able to deliver exactly what she sets out to do and this time it was a well crafted mafia dark romance with kidnapping as a love language. It was everything that I wanted in a romance and now I want more!!!
