A fast-paced twisty thriller set in LA during the Rodney King riots with a feisty main character, Nikki, who has to shoulder way too much, way too young. The bad guys are rich and powerful, and include a familiar cult-like church in LA. The heroes are small and scruffy but they fight like hell. A fun and satisfying read.
