This last book in this seriously hot, alluring, sexy series of interconnected standalone’s features Camden and his twin sister’s best friend Oaklyn.
It’s the younger generation of the Dalton family heating up the pages in this sexy scorcher. (I think it’s best to read them in order, each book moves ahead in time. You get to “catch up” with the previous couples in the series in the following books.)
This series and this book embodies the lives of the beautiful, ambitious, wealthy, sexy and successful people.
It’s an escape into a very indulgent and lush lifestyle.
It’s well written, decadent erotica with great locales, sensual atmosphere and top notch dirty talk.
This book is a bit of a slow burn with a virgin heroine. She’s ready to explore her sexuality with her best friends brother.
It’s a fast, sensual and surprisingly sweet story.
I loved the sexy games these characters played, I loved their interactions with each other and the secondary characters.
I love that the pair have known each other since their preteen years, it makes their connection seem realistic. I love that they are a bit forbidden and have to be secretive. I love forbidden romance and the excitement and nervous butterflies that come with it.
It’s low angst and minimal drama, heavy on the heat and fun.
It was a proper goodbye to all the characters that have made this fantastic series. I really enjoyed this story and the series.
The tease/glimpse of two new series to come has me quite excited. I can’t wait for more of the glamorous life!

So good!

I just knew I'd love Camden! His balance of hard and soft was so perfect! This story was the slowest of burns for me and so worth it in the end!

The Bachelor
The Dalton Family, Book 5
By: Marni Mann
Narrated by: Ramona Master, Walker Williams

I thought I had a favorite Dalton brother, but now I know which one is truly my favorite! Camden pushes all the right buttons, that is for sure. When he sees Oakland one night, the promise he made to his twin may be ready to be broken. Always warned off of Oakland, the request she makes may be the turning point. If within a year, she is still a virgin, she wants him to take it. But can he break that promise? Better yet, can he stay away from the temptation? OH MY! This is a spicy one! Mann starts this one with a firm foundation of friendship, but a huge amount of feelings that have never been acted on. Their exploration into love is hot, but what I felt was the rising love that needed to come out! Camden is a romantic, and when he made up his mind, Oakland had no chance! There are other obstacles too, and the sibling ribbing that goes on is just icing on the cake. This is a listen that will burn your ears and warm your heart. Grab it now!

Walker Williams and Ramona Master are our storytellers, and boy do they tell this story. Williams comes out as Camden, the alpha male with his needs and desires, his incredible voice giving that edge of decadence. He also has a dreamily romantic sound that is impossible not to fall for. Master is perfect for the role of Oakland. A bit sassy, and comes off unafraid of anything, she does add in a side of vulnerability to her. She give Oakland that confidence she has in knowing what she wants. This team is perfectly cast and made the listen one to remember.

This was the first book that I read by Marni Mann and I really liked it. I thought Oaklyn and Camden were great together. I do wish that Camden didn't switch from "I'm never going to settle down" to "Oaklyn is the only woman I want" so quickly. I know there was attraction between them both for a long time, I just wish we got to see Camden fall for Oaklyn a little slower. I think I would have also enjoyed the book a little more if I read the first books before this one just so I knew who all the side characters were. Overall I think this was a great book and I would love to read more by Marni.
