I sincerely had the highest hopes for this one. I’m a huge P.C. Cast fan and I really wanted to like this but I just couldn’t get excited about picking it up. First book ever I actually skimmed a paragraph and didn’t completely read it and at the end of the book no less. Ok I loved that Karen eventually become one with the gang and got down with the ganja. Definitely a few eye roll moments at the end.

I liked that there were elements that kept me hanging on, like what are the girl powers going to be like and why does Stella feel this way? BbBbBuUuUtTtT they were few and far between. Will I read the second one out of sheer curiosity? Maybe, but not likely

At first I wasn't a fan of the writing, it felt very juvenile however as I kept reading I got more attached to the characters. The plot of the world is interesting I just was not a big fan of the writing style and the way the characters spoke and acted.m especially in an apocalypse type scenario.
