This book took me way to long to read, partly because I forgot what happened in the previous ones, and I was a little upset the series became 7 books and not 6. However, the last 50% of the book was a good pace. As always Nine is my favourite, and I will riot if he dies in the future.

Reading these book is a tad bit of a roller coaster. Some of these books I have really loved where others not so much. Still this series has me hooked and I want to know how it ends.

This was a fun and light read, even though there are aliens trying to take over earth. I still don't know why it's called revenge of seven though?? Marina doesn't get revenge in any way?

I really liked that Adam is a part of the crew, so everything isn't as black and white anymore. Five also helps on that note, because I don't think anyone knows exactly what to think pf him anymore...

But I'm kind of disappointed that it doesn't seem like they will go back to Lorien? I'm not sure what they're planning, but woth the Loric spirit/god on earth I guess they won't be going back....

Also I'm kind of disappointed Sam got powers, because I really like that thing where not everyone in the crew is 'special' so there are badass people that are more or less normal too... (Like Sam and Malcolm, and people like Stiles in Teen Wolf.)

But, I really like the plot twist with Ella and Setrakus Ra, both with them being related but also the bond makes between them. (I mean I hate it because I don't want Ella to die, but it does make it more interesting )

Second reading: The Revenge of Seven picks up right where the last book left off. Eight has died at the hands of Five and John is on the run with Sam, Sarah, Malcolm and Adam without knowing who has died. And Ella is aboard Setrakus Ra's warship. Six, Nine, and Marina make it out of the Everglades to find that that a "terrorist attack" has occurred in Chicago at the penthouse. They head back in to retrieve Eight's body and encounter Five who basically lets them have him and leaves to join Setrakus Ra and Ella in space. John sends Sarah to meet up with her ex-bf Mark James who is now running They Walk Among Us online, with help from a mysterious Guard. John, Adam, Sam, and Malcolm with the Chimaera take a Mog base/housing area and get some allies from the government. They take the base in large part because Adam killed his father. Nine and the others come meet up with them. Through some video of Malcolm being interrogated they learn of a special site in Mexico that is Loric. They split up with Six, Marina and Adam going to Mexico and Sam, Nine and John going to New York with Agent Walker. Six's group secures the Sanctuary and deposit all of their rocks in the well to merge with Lorien. They have a brief conversation with the entity and it allows Marina to say goodbye to Eight. Then the entity spreads through the earth.
Back in New York John's group finds a high up government man who tells them the invasion is coming now! Setrakus Ra is in NY and supposed to be meeting and healing government guy but John already did. They confront him and John nearly kills him but at the last minute Five stops him because Setrakus and Ella are linked and you can't harm him without going through Ella. John tries to save her but gets dropped into the river, and he and Sam running when we find out Sam is now telekinetic.

I thought this was an excellent book. I really enjoyed them being on different missions that would hopefully save them all. I am glad that Sarah was not a huge part of the book, because I really don't like her. I enjoyed six and Sam together, because they're both so awkward about it. And of course I always like nine. Marina was not herself the whole way through but I thought that needed to be done because of the loss she had suffered and the grief she was feeling. The ending was amazing. I love the idea that they completely changed the earth and can't wait to see how that effects the final battles. At times the book was a little slow, but that needed to be done before leading into the final confrontation in the last two books.

Di buku ke 5 ini ak menetapkan tokoh favoritku no 6 & no 9. Jd ak gk suka no 6 sama sam & sama spt sblmnya gk suka no 4 sm Sarah. Syukurlah John & Sarah terpisah jd gk ada cinta2an gk jelas, walau ada sedikit antara no 6 & sam tp gk dijabarkan panjang spt John & Sarah.
Msh sedih krn no 8 terbunuh scr tdk sengaja tp disini no 8 sempat "pamit" sm no 7. Terkuak jg di akhir buku kelebihan pusaka Ella yg bisa membunuh Setrakus Ra.

Not as thrilling as the others but they picked a great place to end the book
