I was really looking forward to this book, It was my first book from the author and I was very excited. However I had to force myself to finish some of the stories just because I had no interest at all. Some were actually really good and I enjoyed them, others were too boring.
I do believe that it was great written and I look forward to reading more of his books, but there were certain topics discussed in a few stories that I was not interested in.

I can't find the exact edition, but I really enjoyed The Cut Glass Bowl the most. The title story was quite disturbing...

‘I spoiled this city for myself. I didn’t realize it, but the days came along one after another, and then two years were gone, and everything was gone, and I was gone.’

It doesn’t feel good when the party’s over. 

Couldn’t find my edition on here. I read Bernice Bobs Her Hair, The Ice Palace, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Winter Dreams, The Baby Party, The Last of the Belles, and Babylon Revisited.
