A book is not a good book if it was enjoyed at five and can't be at 50, right? Overall the book was really great showing about care, kindness, envy, morals but the idea of a prince kissing her and she waking up from the dead and summarizing it as true love when in reality, they've just only met- that is quite too unacceptable. Never questioned it the numerous times when read in childhood, but they never really did face any troubles together to live happily ever after, just like that, now did they?

Another book I really liked as a kid. I didn't read it until it fell apart (like some of the books I had) but I still read it and asked for it to be read to me. It was a good book. Still is.

"Heigh ho" (as he calls it) is my 3 year old's favorite movie so we read this book at least 3 times a day.

This Disney story i used to make fun off but later I understand that hatred can do worse to you and mother when become jealous of your beauty then your life becomes really difficult and curses are worse thing and death is inevitable to all and wrong doings will not save you from it. Love find ways and destiny find you in ruins too.

Oh, the perfectly ideal tale of Snow White. Now that I'm older, I think it's just a pretty tale with a ridiculously fluffy female lead. The illustrations are beautiful, though.

I loved all these Disney books when I was a little kid and today I woke up and said to myself why not reread them! I will always stand by my opinion that you're never too old for kid's books! Mainly because of those gorgeous pictures :D
After reading through all these kid's books in one day I'm starting to realize that each book has some kind of disturbing element: Cinderella (child abuse), Sleeping Beauty (arranged marriage), Beauty and the Beast (Stockholm syndrome). But after all, Snow White wins the first place in this creepy contest and that is because of that kissing strangers element... Just why??? Couldn't she at least meet him before.
Also all the Disney stories lean very heavily on the instant love factor… which can be fun at first, but no really after a while :\
