Very hard to rate. Toes the line of torture porn and simply telling the horrific events. I know a lot was changed too, so do with that what you will. Hard to say if a book like this should exist. Hard all around. I think it was good, but I would never reread it.

Is you have ANY type of PTSD of basically any kind, I do not recommend this book. INCREDIBLY graphic and horrific and based on a true story.

Very dark read, not a book for most. However the authors writing was amazing and detailed. Disturbingly detailed. Again not a book for most! It started off slow but after part one you cannot stop reading, unless of course if you are disturbed by the unfortunate events that happen in the story. I have not read a book in so long but tiktok recommended it to be and I could not stop reading, finished in about a week. I would recommend it if horror is your thing and if you don’t easily get disturbed. I will definitely check out the author more, his writing style is phenomenal.

Slower start then I expected, but when things picked up it was unending. One punch to the gut after another. I know what was coming from the first second but still had the air knocked out of me when I turned to that page.

"She moved her lips. Then smiled.

'I think I'm going to make it,' she said, and reached for Susan's hand. 'I think I'll be fine.'

In the artificial glare of the work light, in the dawn that for us was not a dawn, she died."

I know that this book will stick with me and always leave that lingering stomach ache.
