I think this was a great introduction to omegaverse for those that are new to the genre. While I did love the characters and their chemistry, I felt like it was a little rushed.

How many times can we name drop companies? If this is supposed to be the first book for Heat Haven, I feel like most of the book should have taken place at the facility and the elevator getting stuck scenario would have been better for when another Alpha that joins their pack after getting to know Emily and Griffin. Which I say loosely as I they didn't feel like characters. Also the sex scenes felt like they were just describing what was happening and not really anything else. DNF

Short and sweet ABO story.

The idea of a facility where Omegas can go through heat safely is really unique.

Although, the idea of a moderator just kinda chilling behind a two way mirror watching is kinda weird. I get a voyeurism kink, but they never really played into it at all, so that was my only disappointment perhaps.

Read it in two short sittings. Very captivating novella!

The first book of 2022 and it had to be one I can’t finish. I’m not sure if people are more lax with debut novels but this book was not it for me. The writing was very childish and I could not get passed the FMC and the way she spoke (saying things like gosh darnit and whatnot).

very sweet and funny

This book is sweet and funny and well written. It’s only downside is that it’s insta-love so if you like that kind of thing you will adore this book.

Smutty, Spicy & Sweet

This book is short and sweet but oh so very spicy. Somehow in just over a hundred pages you still get a decent amount of plot thrown in with some super spicy scenes. As expected the storyline is based around Emily going into heat and using a dating service/ sex club to stay safe as she has no pack go protect her.
It’s surprising how well the characters are developed in such a short time period and the plot is great despite most of the pages being spent on spicy scenes. The climax is great and really helps Emily solidify her choice of Alpha’s and her Alpha’s to her.
Don’t skip the epilogues because they bring the heat and the perfect amount of happily ever after.

⭐️ - 4. Surprisingly great for such a short quick read.

This was fine. More spice than plot. Basically no conflict or character development.

The alphas are racially diverse and there are MM as well as FMM pairings.
