Author is a Zionist. As the main characters mentioned multiple times that they are Jewish and talked about their struggles, I wondered what her stance is, so I looked it up.
Bought this in 2023 before I knew.

I’m sad I never got to hear their speeches.

This kind of reminds me of better than the movies because of the special interest Rowan has with romance book and Liz has with rom-coms. I wished she would’ve made references to real books, like bttm did. But it was still nice to be seen like this. Kind of felt meta.
Would definitely recommend to read if your graduating.

12/10/23 Review:

Well, after reading this book twice I can firmly say that this is one of my favorite romances ever. I absolutely adore these characters. I loved every minute of this swoony, adorable romance. I don't have anything new to say about this fantastic book. But I can say that I love this book and I want to read it all over again.

10/19/22 Review:

Academic rivals to lovers is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and this book did it perfectly. I quite literally devoured this book. In less than 24 hours. I'm gonna need to own this book like, now cause I can see myself rereading this over and over. I loooove these characters soooOOooOOO much. I see a lot of myself in Rowan and I loved reading about a woman I am similar to. Seriously, it makes me so happy. I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about this book. Not one. Rachel, you outdid yourself with this one. Thank you for writing this masterpiece.

My new favorite author. It was so well done. The banter. The perfect slow burn that made you want more of it. The way they spoke to each other.
How vulnerable Neil was. How he expressed himself so easily to Rowan. And don’t get me started on how Rowan felt about him unknownly. Her love for romance books.
The way she talks about women. And THE JEWISH REP??? I DIDNY THINK IT COULD GET BETTER BUT THERE WERE LESBIANS. AND THEN HARRY STYLES?? Wow just wow. So done well. Amazingly good. Incredibly. Maybe one of the best books I’ve ever read, just magnificent from the first line right down to the last. Might even ask Neil for a few more adjectives to describe how damn spectacular this ride was.
