City of Fallen Angels
3.25/50 out of 5

- ...ok where to start
- i love this series with my whole heart and soul but i don't even have words for this
- the plot was confusing, it stretched out for what felt like so long and it only got good when
SpoilerJace got possessed

- so the plot from what i've gathered is...
Spoiler Lilith is Sebastian's "mother" and she wanted to make more babies like Sebastian but she failed. she got Camille to kill Downworlders so that she could inject their blood into the babies???? but Camille had her own plot of wanting to retake her spot so she needed Simon??? but Simon was also needed by Lilith to bring back Sebastian and also Lilith have Jace the nightmares so she could control him and perform the ritual to bring Sebastian back??
idk it's very confusing and the plot stretches out for what seems like so long
- it's a bit boring but then the ending realLLY started to get good.
- yk i really wish they made the rest of the books into movies bc i know dAMN WELL that jamie campbell bower would absolutely NAIL the way
Spoiler Jace was acting while possessed.

- anyways i LOVED the ending and that kinda redeemed it for me
- i can't tell which i liked more, coa or cofa but idk. it wasn't as good as cob or cog
-THE CLIFFHANGER OH MY GODDDDDDDD I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHERE THIS GOES

Out of all the Cassandra Clare books I've read so far, this one was the most mediocre. It was quite uneventful and repetitive, and I felt like the things that was happening didn't leave much impact at all.

At the end of the book, even though it was supposed to be the most intense part, I found it the most boring and got me skipping the parts until the end. Hopefully, the next one gets better.

Spoiler the only thing that got me sobbing in this book was when they keep mentioning Will, my heart.

This book is not my favorite. Simon was definitely one of my favorite parts of the book. I loved hearing his perspective on things. I think that overall the character development was lacking in this book. But I’m still excited to continue the rest of the series.

Tampoco me importa mucho.

this one is my favorite so far in this series. while most of the action was saved for the end, i loved the character building that happened with a bunch of the minor characters. (simon, maia, alec, magnus)

Spoiler Um um um welp. I am very confused/ concerned about that ending!!! Uh I really hope that what I think just happened didn’t actually happen. All I want is for Jace and Clary to be happy kids in love but NOPE of course they can’t have this in the shitshow of a shadowhunter world they live in. Ugh. Hhtjsogirjgiosogodogjdkkghdivid so disappointing I just want cute happy fluffy clace romance but fhkskfjdjg. Okay anyways now that the shock in my system is out, I really enjoyed the book. It was very interesting to see everything from so many different character’s perspectives, and I thought that the newly introduced characters were helpful to the plot as much as I might have hated it. I’m getting closer to the final book, and I just desperately hope that everything turns out all right.
