5 out of 5 Stakes!!
Let me tell you why I gave this book that rating.
First off Natalie is jist another female stuck in a relationship with Jack because well her Father wants her to be. She knows Jack doesn’t really love her. They were childhood friends. But her father thinking it could benefit him and such. And Jack being with her seemed like it was just a good image for him. Being Class President in all at Lockwood Academy. The school definitely is full of rich people who you can tell only care about image and money.

Natalie doesn't seem that way from start to finish. We get her p.o.v. throughout the whole book btw.
When she meets new student Henry she can't stop thinking about him, he's very good looking and seems thoughtful not like the others in her school.
But Henry runs hot and cold with Natalie. For reasons unknown to her, he ends up liking her a lot. With that chance meeting and his visions of her....
When he decides from a sort of friend Wes to act on his vision and alter what is suppose to happen all three of their lives intertwine even more. Whether by force or unknown reasons.

I really enjoyed the mystery of it all. The triangle is good and you think or at least I kept thinking the whole time please just kiss already.
Because getting Henry's p.o.v you learn why he is the way he is. No one can know his secret. He spends most of the time trying to hideaway from people. He is just there for senior year and leave. But Lockwood Academy is definitely not like other high schools, they have cameras around the school and the dorms. Henry doesn't trust them saying they don't work anymore bs.
When Natalie realizes her mother knew about all of precog stuff, she makes it her mission to keep investigating. She knows thats what her mother would have wanted. Why else leave things for her to find.
But what exactly does it have to do with Henry?
And can Henry trust Natalie with his secret? Wes I don't like even from the start, I grouped him with Jack. People that seem to shady. Others may disagree with me. But thats my opinion.
All I'm asking now is can we have book #2 now? I don’t want to wait.. And will Henry realize everything before its to late?? Please tell me. Ha

This book definitely gave me Gossip Girl meets Wednesday vibes. I loved the boarding school setting and the complicated and messy relationships among the students. Natalie and Henry were both so interesting as main characters, and I liked that we got to read the story from both of their POVs.

This book left me with SO MANY QUESTIONS. It introduced so many intriguing concepts, like the precogs and the connection between Natalie and Henry. But there is so much more for this series to explore! This story ends on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait for the series to continue!

It was difficult reading through this. Basically it's a bunch of emotional teenagers fighting back and forth and it gets so tiring very quick. I do love the way the author writes, though, but this book is just not for me.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Honestly I am still unsure about how I feel about this but here are my thoughts:

We are at a boarding school on an island. New student 'scholarship kid' Henry is a precog and gets tangled up with popular girl Natalie after things start getting weird at the school. Henry has a vision of Natalie getting murdered and decides to save her - changing his vision and facing the consequences. It was very fast paces and easy to read. I was able to connect to the characters at some level and understand what was going on.

However, I think I needed more depth and history into the school and why it was there, into what precogs are and with Natalie's whole situation. I also found it a bit harder to understand Natalie's decisions and thoughts at times because of the whole flipping of sides thing. Unsure if it is just part of her character arc but I was not into it. I think out of all the characters hers needed to be fleshed out a bit more - particularly her instant draw to Henry (but maybe that comes in the next book?). Personally, I would have preferred the pace be a little bit slower to get more details and nuance.

I did read it all in one night and am looking forward to seeing what goes on in the next book.

I really enjoyed this book! It gave me a bit of Shatter Me vibes, which I really loved. This book was an easy and interesting read. Curiosity really can get the best of someone and for some it can be their downfall. Henry, Natalie and Wes all test this curiously time and time again balancing on that very thin line. Being able to read from both Henry and Natalie’s perspective gives you more understanding of what each character is going through and experiencing, which I really appreciated. The tension and anxiety between the two characters take a direction I would have never imagined. Their curiosity causing them become intertwined while trying to keep their secrets from getting out. Each character is fighting their own battle of life that are somehow connected with each others. The build up from the first half to the second half of the book was done very well. The details and story line was laid out so it could hit the ground running in the second half. I am curious of where the next book will go. I have so many questions!
I received this copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really loved this book, this is the debut novel from Melissa Caessera And when I looked it up from what the story was about it sounded so intriguing. I am a sucker for books that are set at an academy of a private school setting. The atmosphere was amazing and I could picture it, the story it self was really interesting we have a mystery aspect in it, what reminded me of truly devious. But we also had the fantasy aspect too, and it was a paranormal fantasy trope and I love that. The writing style is easy to get into, and the book goes by really fast. This is a book that after I read it I wished I had a physical copy because I annotated it so much. But maybe I will get a copy in the future, can’t wait to read more of this author and to continue reading the series
