Love this book. Beautifully written and easily connectable. I started to love it from its very first line. I mean the 'DUFF' word is so right. I was the Duff in my group. Still, I am. This book carries depth in a very unusual way. Feels so good to add a book to my 'most favorite' shelf like after ages.

It's got pretty much everything people say they're tired of seeing in YA: love triangle, jerkass guy, comparisons to Wuthering Heights. AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT.

On a more unique note, I think this book takes the cake for the most sex I've seen in any single YA book. There was... a lot. Casual sex. Hate sex. ORAL SEX OMG won't someone think of the childrennnn (A+++)

I almost couldn't read this book, but I hate not finishing books.
The beginning was bad. It was just ridiculous. I powered through and the last half of the book was good.
The movie was better.

I'm not someone that demonizes movie adaptations for not following their books to a tee, but I do think the film made one big error. In the book, there's no villainous mean girl that's making b's life hell. I think that's most people's high school experience. There is no tangible force working against you, life just sucks sometimes.

It was a good book and even though I got hooked in (although not enough to still read it when I got behind on school work) the ending was terrible. That’s why I gave it such a low score. If the ending was better it would definitely have been 4 stars. I’ve seen a few people stopped reading it halfway through and I wouldn’t recommend doing that as I actually enjoyed the book and it does get better the further in you read. After reading the book I thought I’d see what the film is like and it’s completely different. The only similarity is the characters and even then they’ve added a couple who weren’t in the book. I wouldn’t recommend the film, even if you loved the book.

This book never ceased to surprise me. It had me laughing the whole way through. I never got tired of the main characters charming wit. I saw myself in the main character (Bianca). The love story in this book had me laughing, cringing, and awing the whole way through. Although the movie greatly disappoints this book is amazing. You know what they say never judge a book by its movie.

I give it a 4.5 Stars out of 5

Synopsis
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face.
But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him.
Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

My Review
I loved this books, i thought it was very different to what i have read. I love the writing style that Kody Keplinger used. I love that Bianca was not that usual main character that we see in most YA novels, she is not the prettiest girl, not the popular girl, not the supermodel looking girl, She is the girl that alot of teen girls these days can connect to, not only on looks, but how they feel as well. I Connect with Bianca pretty much straight away. I love the Character of Wesley, first the name, you don't see that much in novels these days, well i don't, i also love his attitude and i have no idea why, yes he can be a dick and not know what he says hurts people, but when you see his soft side, oh my gosh, i just feel in love with him, who wouldn't. I also like how Kody intertwine different matters into the main story line, like the one between her parents and about Wesley's problems . I thought it was a very clever idea. I also like the concept of the DUFF (designated, ugly, fat, friend) i think it can change alot of perspective of people, that do feel like a DUFF, especially what we find out near the endish what Bianca thinks about the DUFF. I didn't really like Bianca's friend Jessica I don't know she just got on my nerves. But over all i really enjoyed this book.

Therefor i have given this book a 4.5 Stars out of 5.

Favourite Books from this book:
'No Mattter where you go or what you do to distract yourself, reality catches up with you eventually'
'Wesley took my hand and laced his fingers with mine 'you look beautiful tonight, Bianca' '
