A quick, satisfying read. The comparisons to Laura Lippman are spot on. I solved one of the mysteries fairly early on, but still enjoyed inhabiting the lives of the characters.

It's great when characters don't explain themselves to death and the reader is left with some puzzlement. I look forward to more of Berney's books.
