It's an adorable and sweet read about two queer characters meeting each other and having a comic-con romance. Them meeting at a panel and coming together over their shared love for a media that makes them feel understood and that they see themselves in as queer and disabled characters.

Wonderful to see a story addressing elements of fandom, queerness, and disability in a realistic and approachable manner. The banter between mother and daughter was hilarious. As for the romantic elements,  I was disappointed at
the lack of "closure" or even any possible future meetup for the lovebirds.
But I suppose this way is more realistic.

I loved the nonbinary representation and the chronic illness/disability representation!
I didn't love the rushed relationship between the characters and the one-note plot.

I bought this book, initially, hoping to have it as part of my "Little Library" I maintain for the middle schoolers I work with. Alas, the book didn't make the cut; it wasn't interesting enough, and it uses the phrase "inspiration porn" (thereby becoming inappropriate for school). As someone who identifies as part of the disability community, I am 100% familiar with the concept of "inspiration porn" but the phrase does open itself up to a host of concerns in a school setting (unfortunately!).  AKA, don't make the mistake I did of buying it for a school setting :')

Geeky story with queer and disability themes, absolutely loved it! Lots of references to pop culture with a little twist.

This was an absolutely adorable graphic novel. There's a lot of great representation in this: disability, chronic pain, queer rep (bisexul and nonbinary). Plus, it's a YA that has younger teen characters (14 & 15) which seems to be pretty rare as of late. So yay for that!

This graphic novel is chuck full of fandom references, all slightly tweaked to reflect different fandoms in our own world. Those felt really clever to me! It is a bit insta-love, but that's partly to be expected when they're teenagers. It felt real and authentic to me, even if it's not my favorite thing in a story.

The art was also great! I liked the way the characters were drawn, and all the different comic con constumes included throughout. Just an overall really lovely graphic novel!
