A wild ride

Check CW. I’m so glad I finally read this book! The characters were delightful. Angelika is going through some major craziness in her life and needs help fast! Tolyan is the hero that’s a little gray that Angelika needs. The chemistry was burning up my kindle. Cannot wait to read more from Ms. Nadia Lee!

This book stuffers because I read Thorne Princess just prior and that book had the exact same plot but was written much better.

I like grumpy bodyguards but this guy had nothing going for him. The heroine forgave him too easily after his betrayal and overall there wasn't much chemistry.

Beauty and the Assassin

I loved this story oh so much it had just the right amount stabby death for the storyline. It was a smooth read with some steamy scenes. Well done and written.

Ok so I will say this book was not like anything I expected. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it when I first started it, but it turned out I loved it.

Quick Read

This was a quick read by author Nadia Lee. Angelika and Tolyan are an interesting pair. There’s an age gap along with their different personalities that made for an interesting read. Tolyan and his precise way of looking and and doing things made a good read.

For what it is, it was good!

I mean, Tolyan was a bit on the manipulative side when it came to Angelika. Almost to the point of being a jerk.

It was also on the anticlimactic side, but I’ll give it a few points for having a boogeyman kind of looming without us getting to actually meet him until the end.

I wish we had more tension here though, more at stake or to risk. Not as fun when the hero is all nearly indestructible!

But it was good even so!

Spice scale? Not overly spicy!

It’s a fast paced novel, but a medium/slow burn romance. I really enjoyed this one, especially after the last book I read. I especially liked the rational, pragmatic heroine. She got angry/upset when appropriate, but things weren’t blown out proportion and people weren’t hurt because of it.
