2nd in the series.
The girls are on school holidays and Wong is staying with Wells and her family at their country pile. Hazel is surprised to find how rundown and threadbare the aristocratic residence is, when she's used to twice the number of servants and everything being pristine.

The casual racism of the era is less apparent, and it's now clear that Daisy expects all her friends to bow to her will, which makes me feel a bit better about the power dynamic between her and Hazel.

The killer was easier to spot than in the previous book.
