I read this book because I found people who had read it on TikTok and they were blown away by first of all how funny they found the storyline and honestly I was blown away too. It was funny and dark and really adventurous for the plot and storyline in the book. It’s a quick read literally doesn’t take more than an hour or two depending on what you’re doing in your day. It was creative and hot. I honestly didn’t think I’d be interested in a book like this but I was surprised it was sweet. It’s insane but it’s a good read I thought it was funny, dark and sweet and now I am curious about my mental stability but I don’t even care I loved it.

So I saw this one around bookstagram and the premise sounded, well, unhinged, but it was short and on KU so I just had to experience it for myself. It was definitely odd, but also genuinely original—I could even have envisioned it turned into a full-length novel that dove deeper into the Greek mythology aspect or the serial killer plot instead of focusing on the “door romance” aspect (a sentence I never thought I’d write).

Yes, this is a smutty romance book between a girl and a door. Yes, a door. And yes, it was from the perspective of said door the entire time. Also, yes, it was really well done for a whopping 70-something pages. I enjoyed the backstory of the doors sentience and even though I wanted more smut, this was such a cute and fun quick read. Frankly, worth the 99 cents I paid for it on my Kindle. (09/2023)
