Beautiful artwork, pretty empty story. It felt like several issues had no dialogue or progression, just a repetitive muttering. Plus, nobody wants to see Batman get outwitted by Amanda Waller.

I liked this volume more than the last, primarily because of the Bat/Cat thread throughout. The framing of their letters to each other in back to back issues, followed by their night together, followed by Catwoman revealing the truth, that she didn't kill anyone, she lied to protect a lifelong friend... it was all SO good. I still find this version of Batman to be too grim, uncaring, and shutdown, but I'm willing to keep reading and see if that changes; considering everything that's happened I do think it makes sense for him to be deeply depressed, I just don't enjoy it.
