More or less the same as book 1. Heracles gets a task, Heracles overcomes the task, rinse and repeat. The art is pretty good though.

Feel free to read my review of the first book in this series before reading this review as it lays out my general thoughts on the inaccuracies and liberties taken by the author regarding the legends that inspired this series.

How did book two improve on book one? I guess I'm less familiar with the post labors legend so it didn't bother me as much that it too was fast and loose with the story, or maybe the life after being a hero is actually more interesting.

This book shook me at times and steps up the graphic nature that starts in book 1. If book 1 was R rated, book 2 was more nc-17.

I feel like the artwork and layout improved in this second volume as well. Another I'd recommend for people who enjoy legends, but not good source material or kid friendly at all.

daring, ambitious, a bit too postmodern at the end
