Horrible language but serious non stop laugh out loud readability.

Better than most blog-to-book adaptations. Halpern wisely chooses to supplement his father's grumpy, foul-mouthed bon mots with a bunch of short, Sedaris-eque essays showing their relationship in action. Not great literature or anything, but an enjoyable way to spend an hour.

Very funny book, makes me wonder if Justin had admiration for his dad while growing up or just since his quips brought him fat paydays. Hope I'm actually funny to my kids at some point in life.

This is both screamingly funny, like upsidedown-falling-out-of-your-chair funny, and deeply wise.

It's a book that gives a lot if you let it.

Possibly the first book published from a Twitter feed, @shitmydadsays begain as a bunch of funnybutwise sayings of Justin's father, and when the followers registered about three million or so, he realised he had something.

This book is the result.

Interspersed with the familiar (if you're a fan) sayings are longer anecdotes of life with Dad. He's definitely a character, but despite his blunt and salty sayings, he's got his head scrued on straight and he's got the best interests of his children at heart. You can learn a lot from Justin's Dad!

This book is cute. The author's dad is a wacky guy who is no-nonsense and says some really funny things. A few parts I was laughing out loud. It's a quick easy read that leaves the reader feeling satisfied as well as warm about the nice relationship between the father and son.

Hilarious quick read. Better off listening to the audiobook rather than reading the paper book. I love that the father is warm and loving under the gruff exterior
