Ok so this was a good read, but there were too many perspective changes. And in the early parts of the book, I struggled to figure out whose perspective I was reading through. AND I honestly didn’t care to read through anyone else but Cassie. Maybe if there were only two perspectives (Cassie’s and a third person omniscient) my feelings towards the story would be different. Another one of my reservations comes from the fact that the plot is STRIKINGLY similar to Stephanie Meyer’s The Host. I’m going to read the rest of the series because I didn’t dislike it. But I’m hoping the writing is a little cleaner.

Es emocionante aunque lo compare un poco con la huésped pero créanme que no son iguales, los personajes son muy interesantes y me encantaron ciertas frases por ahí la historia te da un panorama bien descrito en general esta súper genial

2022 update: when people ask me which book I read and disliked reading the most, I say it’s this one. The aftertaste is still so bad after so long. so yeah 1 star it is

Very Short review:

- I didn't like the first half of the book so much, that I considered putting it away.
- The first half was very slowly paced and packed with descriptions of killing, wounds, blood etc. Not my cup of tea.
- I didn't understand the POV system at first.
- I just don't like aliens unless they're in Doctor Who

BUT after page 200, I really got into the schwung and finished the rest in 2 days. The writing became quicker (at the end I felt like I was running a marathon) and things clicked together.

But why is that not worthy of 4 stars, you may ask? Because I just don't like reading about the theme of an alien invasion and the overall genre.

I'm curious about the movie now!

meh to be honest, I'll read Infinite Sea and maybe the plot will actually be more interesting
